about

Algebra One was formed when Pop Sloppy broke up and Tyler (who played bass in Pop Sloppy) invited Dave K (guitar in Pop Sloppy) to play with his childhood friend and former bandmate Shawn (who was in Flexible Flyer with Tyler). Tyler was a much better guitarist than Dave so Tyler (who wrote 99.99% of all the music) switched back to guitar.

This is Algebra One's first ever show at 205 Kent Street that was recorded on a cassette boombox, hence the poorer sound and weird clicking sound. The show was cut short when Dave broke a bass string and didn't have another.

Set list shown is from the show and was taken from the drummer's kit after the show (notice the humorous "Don't get drunk you bastard" on the bottom of the list). The first two songs would later be released on a 7", however the rest of the songs were soon discarded and/or replaced by other songs as Tyler was a prolific song writer.
