Right downtown there was a bar called Hawaii Kai and on Tuesday night they'd have a techo-industrial night and college kids would literally mosh to recorded music on a small dance floor and then hi-five each other. Pop Sloppy found this very amusing so the title of the song is a reference to that. Once Jimmy actually wrote lyrics (instead of singing random phrases) the song title was changed to "Pop Sloppy".
